Favorite 5: Fall Lip Colors

**If you are receiving this post via email, you may want to check out my actual site as the email throws off the formatting**

Fall is just around the corner *sigh* Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy Fall—comfortable weather, corn mazes, apple fritters…but Fall leads to Winter and that’s just no good. Anyway, I wanted to share with you five lipsticks I think would be great for the Fall.

1. Colour Pop Ultra Matte Lip in Bumble
I talked about this in my recent Colour Pop Haul (you can read that post here) and I ordered this color with Fall in mind. As Colour Pop describes it, Bumble is a “dusty warm terracotta” and I think that’s an accurate description. I think this is a good transition color from Summer to Fall. It’ll stay put while you’re out pickin’ pumpkins.

2. Wet ‘N Wild Megalist Lipcolor in 902C Bare It All
Brownish-lipsticks are very in right now and this Wet ‘n Wild lipstick is nude with a hint of brown (Colour Pop’s BFF lipliner that I hauled here would also be a good brown nude choice). Bare It All has a peach undertone so it might be easier for most people to wear as opposed to something that is closer to actual brown.

3. NYX High Voltage Lipstick in HVLS05 Flutter Kiss
I love this color and would wear it year round, but I think that this is a good subtle color for fall. It is a mauve (also a very in color right now) with a hint of pink. This applies really nicely and could be layered over a brown lipliner to make it darker for the Fall or topped with a lipgloss to pair nicely with a darker Fall eyelook. You can read my review of the High Voltage Lipsticks here.

4. NYX High Voltage Lipstick in HVLS02 Wine & Dine
This is a gorgeous plum-berry that screams FFFAAAALLLLL! It is highly pigmented and I would definitely suggest a good lipliner because this lipstick has a tendency to travel. Since this is a brighter berry color, I think Wine & Dine is also a good color to transition from Summer to Fall.

5. NARS Sheer Lipstick in Fast Ride
This color looks very, very dark, but since it is sheer it is not intimidating. It’s a dark plum that gives a good wash of color to the lips even though it’s sheer. I picked this up at the VIB sale at Sephora last year as my “fall lipstick.” I’m excited to break this out again.

What lip colors are you loving for Fall? Let me know!

Review of belif The True Cream – Aqua Bomb

**If you are receiving this post via email, you may want to check out my actual site as the email throws off the formatting**

I love getting samples of skin care because products like moisturizer and eye cream can be so expensive. There was a lot of hype about this product when it first launched as Sephora. I received a deluxe size sample with a purchase from Sephora.com that is 0.34 oz (a $7.69 value). At Sephora the full-size of this moisturizer is $38 for 1.68 oz. This is a review of a product that is newer to the States—belif The True Cream – Aqua Bomb. belif is a South Korean brand that fuses traditional and modern methods to create their skin care products. It is an aqua color (hence the name, I assume) that I couldn’t get to photograph right. It’s pretty, but weird to put a blue moisturizer on your face. From what I found, belif is not a cruelty-free brand.

The Claims:
This product is paraben, sulfate and phthalate free. It claims to hydrate the skin, reduce the appearance of pores, increase skin elasticity and fight off free radicals. It is suitable for all skin types.

My Impressions:
The Aqua Bomb has a light lemongrassy/medicinal scent. The consistency of this moisturizer is gel-like, definitely thicker than a normal moisturizer so I used this at night only.  A little tended to go a long way. There were a few things I did not like about this product. I did not feel that it absorb well into my skin—hence why I used it at night only. It left my skin slightly sticky well past the time a moisturizer would normally absorb into my skin. When I wash it off in the morning I can feel the product coming off my skin—like it was a mask that you wash off after 20 minutes as opposed to a moisturizer. So, I’m not sure how this would work for oily skin since my dry skin didn’t even want to absorb it. Overall, I was not impressed with the product and I wouldn’t purchase it or choose it as a sample again. It has a 4.5 star rating on Sephora.com so it’s obviously popular with a lot of people, but this product is just not for me.
